On February 6 last year, we experienced a substantial disaster that affected 11 of our provinces. May Allah not let our beloved nation experience such pain again. On the anniversary of the February 6 Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes, I shared the views of our Association by issuing a press statement. After the Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes, we saw that not only risky structures, but also the manner of doing business and mentality in all processes from production to design, from application to inspection should be transformed. In the second century of our Republic, we must open the door to a new era of recovery and development in the light of science, safeguarding our cultural and natural heritage and making use of our past experiences. We must stop earthquakes from being natural disasters that inflict social and economic traumas.
