Our Association has been one of the institutions that provide the biggest contribution to buildings with quality by means of ensuring the promotion of the use of quality concrete in our country in any activity it has carried out since the the day of its incorporation.
Annual production amount, which was 1,5 million cubic meters during the years of the incorporation of our Association, has presently reached 115 million cubic meters. The small society founded by a few ready mixed concrete producer firms by coming together 30 years ago has today been a sectoral institution that includes 82 firms providing approximately 65% of the ready mixed concrete production in Turkey as well as 420 ready mixed concrete plants belonging to them under its roof and that must be taken as an example. More than 44 thousand people are being employed presently in our sector that has approximately 20,7 billion-lira turnover. Having been the leader of Europe in concrete production thanks to its growth performance since 2009, Turkey has now become the third biggest ready mixed concrete producer in the world, after China and Europe.
THBB’s voice reached larger groups of people thanks to the successful works conducted by our Association and it reinforced its position as an institution with high prestige. In addition to being a very important sectoral institution, THBB is also an entity that has a say regarding the economy of Turkey and that represents our country successfully and proudly in the international platforms. So far, we have at all times acted through the awareness of the responsibility we have. We will from now on continue our journey with the same meticulousness, determination, and diligence as well.
