We, as Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association, are rightfully proud of coming out smelling of roses from another fair event of us, on which we have worked hard at our best for the production, utilization, and promotion of quality concrete, through the power we receive from our valuable stakeholders and members.Between the dates of February 18 and 20, 2016, we successfully completed the second Fair in Ankara, which had been held in Istanbul so far and which was organized for the first time in Ankara in 2014.As I mentioned in the beginning of my article, we came out smelling of roses from this event. In the Fair, 50 firms were represented with 175 brands. Interest in our eighth Fair we organized in Ankara this year was high as in the other years. Our Fair welcomed more than five thousand visitors in 3 days. And by wishing to meet again in Beton 2017 Fair that we will organize in 2017 in Istanbul, I would like to mention our economic expectations about our sector for 2016.
In view of Turkey’s economy and the ready mixed concrete sector, I can say we are hopeful about 2016. This year, we are expecting the public and private sectors in Turkey to accelerate their investments. We think that 5 percent growth will be attained in the ready mixed concrete sector in 2016 with the acceleration of the private sector investments slowed down recently, commencement of the housing investments suspended last year, and the infrastructure investments of the state, which will, we expect, increase with the addition of new ones.
